خلاصة
This study investigates the mediating role of risk tolerance in the interplay between behavioral factors and investment decisions among small investors in the Saudi stock market. A random sample comprising 384 small investors was selected for analysis. Descriptive statistical techniques such as mean, standard deviation, and frequencies were applied to characterize the study variables, while mediation regression analysis was employed to evaluate the study hypotheses.
The primary findings indicate that individual investors' risk tolerance partially mediates the relationship between behavioral factors and investment decision-making in the stock market. Moreover, a significant association was observed between the behavioral factors of small investors and their investment decision-making abilities within the Saudi stock market. Additionally, a notable relationship exists between the risk tolerance of small investors and their investment decisions in the Saudi stock market.
Drawing from these findings, several recommendations are proposed. Brokers and financial advisors operating in the Saudi stock market should take into account both the behavioral factors and risk tolerance of small investors when providing advice and guidance on financial investments. Furthermore, they should furnish information grounded in accurate securities analysis to facilitate informed investment decisions among small investors in the Saudi stock market.
